Route information
Launched in 2022 this lovely addition to the canal series proved to be a real hit! Starting off in beautiful Skipton and heading out on the canal to Saltaire allows runners the opportunity to enjoy a beautiful route. With seven distances the event once again offers something for runners of all abilities as well as those aiming to move to the next level in a relaxed but supported environment.
Terrain - The route is flat and unless the weather becomes treacherous will be suitable for road shoes.
Support - The route is marshalled at regular intervals (and all turn around points), in between green arrows will prevent anyone getting lost
Feed Stations - Feed stations are positioned at least every three miles and will offer water, juice, sweets, biscuits and salty snacks. Please remember we are plastic free so bring a bottle or cup. A cake table is also available at the finish line as we love our runs to be sociable affairs and encourage runners to stay and chat.
Toilets - are situated 2 minutes from the start line.

Didn’t enjoy this one. The muddy area was really quite dangerous. Anticlimactic finish line. No medal.

Pretty poorly organised..do t know if there wasn’t enough people running this year or what..I travelled from Carlisle to run the ultra-was told on the start line there wasn’t enough medals to go round, now, to me having paid £50 I’d say the ones who ran most & paid most should have the medals kept aside & descend the number that way..but no..the 5k & 10k runners cleaned up..nothing left when we finished..was a bit of a shambles. Course was rough..expected that:.certainly tried us out..only complaint was the stubborn people who refused to move even tho we were polite..saying morning seemed like an effort to most people who lived in a beautiful part of the country!! The atmosphere was ok.: big shout out to the marshals who do a fantastic job..
