Did the race in 2018

Brilliant race, bottled water at 1 aid station, in cups the other. A self supplied aid station for you to stock with your own choice of nutrition.

I felt well prepared for the event - there were no nasty surprises! The only minor thing was that we were called to the start for 10.00, not 10.10 as per the email I received, which made the last few mins before the start a bit frantic.I really liked the repetitive nature of the laps - it helped me to sub-divide it into bitesized 7k pieces! Plus the kid in me thought it was cool to be allowed to run on a racetrack... Didn't like the bridge though - bit of a struggle on laps 5 and 6! It was a shame there were only 50-odd marathon runners - the track was very empty at the end as most of the 500 half-marathon runners had left the circuit. Hopefully there will be more next time to help the atmosphere a bit.
