Your organiser

Always Aim High Events was founded in 2010 by Tim Lloyd and Nigel 'Kenny' Kendrick. The first event was the now iconic Slateman Triathlon 2011 attracting just over 400 competitors (it now regularly exceeds 1,000), with a vision that included the Snowman and Sandman - the three events which now make up the Adventure Triathlon Series. From that one event we now host 34 all inclusive events over 9 weekends, with many more planned for 2019 and beyond. In 2015 Always Aim High Community Events was set up as a not for profit organisation to help with engaging with and hosting local community events. At Always Aim High we are extremely proud about delivering the UK's ultimate triathlon, cycling, running and swimming challenges in the most beautiful and iconic locations that we can find. From epic mountain, coastal and city triathlons, to breathtaking cycle sportives which cover the length and bredth of Snowdonia, there's something for everyone at Always Aim High Events!

Route description
Route description

The races will start from the ground of the scenic Plas y Brenin, The National Mountain Centre.

Competitors will complete the swim in the waters of Llyn Mymbyr in the shadows of the awe-inspiring Snowdon. From here, competitors will complete a series of hill climbs over Snowdonia's mountain passes as they tackle the bike section. As the athletes finish the bike, they will be faced with an incredibly tough mountain run to the summit of Moel Siabod before descending back to Capel Curing.

Throughout this race, there is truly no rest for the wicked.

For the Savage Triathlon, runners will compete in both the Sprint and Standard Triathlon events.

Did the Legend in 2018
I completed the snowman legend 71.6 on Sunday August 5th. It was my first half iron man triathlon and my first time to Wales. I travelled from Norfolk 300 miles away opposite side of Country. When I signed up initially I did not realise the physical toughness of the event I just wanted to take the next step up from Olympic distance. The final 5 miles run up and down Moel siabod was a real test of mental strength. I finished in 23 rd position, and sub 7 hours so I was very happy. I am proud to be a snowman legend and Snowdonia has a piece of my heart. Alexander pennington.
