What is the best bike for the South Downs Gravel X?
The route is ideal for gravel bikes which will be quick on the flat, fast sections but will handle the mud, sand and loose parts of the hills. Mountain bikes will be good too, especially in wet conditions.
What happens if I have a mechanical problem with my bike at the South Downs Gravel X?
There will be mechanics at all feed stops to help you and ride captains along the route to offer support, make sure to bring a basic repair kit for small incidences.
How do I find out my start time for the South Downs Gravel X?
Riders will start in groups of 6 at a time. You will be emailed after you have booked to choose your start time between 8:00am and 10am. If you are riding with a friend you can choose to start with them.
