Route information
This looped Ultra will begin and end at the Queen Elizabeth Country Park. Guided by Matt Buck, you will traverse the fantastic South Downs Way trails before heading towards the coast via ancient woodlands, nature reserves and small villages. This Ultra will be run at a sociable pace to cater to everyone's needs. Expect some hills which will be a great first taste to become accustomed to the trail running Ultra scene. The final part of the run will take you along the Sussex border path then on to Stanton way where your loop will end.

By Car
Queen Elizabeth Park is just off of the A3, with easy accessibility by car.
By Train
If coming from London you can take the Portsmouth & Southsea bound train and get off at Petersfield. From Petersfield it is only a 14-minute bus ride to Queen Elizabeth Country Park.

Age Requirements
All entrants must be 16 or above to participate in Running Adventures events.
Accessibility
This Ultra Run is not a race. It is an exploration across the South Downs. That said, it does not cater for everyone. The organiser advises you to have run at least 22 miles in training beforehand and be able to run 10 min/miles (6-7 min/km). This is a group adventure and first time Ultra runners are encouraged to join.
Kit List
A full kit list will be provided closer to the event time and trail shoes are advised.

If the event is cancelled due to Covid-19 restrictions the organiser will offer a refund or a transfer to a later date.

Is the South Downs Way Ultra Run good for Ultra Running newcomers?
Yes, the South Downs Way Ultra Run is great for new runners joining the Ultra Running community as you will be coached by a professional Ultra Runner along the way. You must, however, be able to run at least 22-miles before signing up.
How long will the South Downs Way Ultra Run take?
As this event is inclusive of a 10 min/mile time you must be understanding of other members of your group.
What kit do I need for the South Downs Way Ultra Run?
You must have trail shoes, but a full kit list will be provided by the organiser in due course.
