Tackle the South Pennines Gravel X ride through West Yorkshire and Lancashire. There will be plenty of fantastic scenery including a long stretch of the Cotton Famine paved road which was built during the American Civil War. Come for the countryside scenery and to soak up the summer sun.

This route is 80% off-road, this ride will take you along the Cotton Famine Road, a road built during the American Civil War. It will take you all the way to the highest point of the whole route at 466m. This will be followed by a long descent with some undulating climbs through the woods near Hebden Bridge. The last 15k will be the easiest without any climbs.

How do I find out my start time for the South Pennines Gravel X?
Riders will start in groups of 6 at a time. You will be emailed after you have booked to choose your start time between 8:00am and 10am. If you are riding with a friend you can choose to start with them.
What happens if I have a mechanical problem with my bike at the South Pennines Gravel X?
There will be mechanics at all feed stops to help you and ride captains along the route to offer support, make sure to bring a basic repair kit for small incidences.
What is the best bike for the South Pennines Gravel X?
This route is 80% off-road with a mix of gravel, single track and bridleways. A hardtail mountain bike will be ideal for comfort though a gravel bike will be good for experienced riders.
