From the organizer

Organizer's website

We return to Aston Down Airfield with an expanded event list. This hilly terrain greatly increases the difficulty of the race; many commented last year that the Super felt more like a Beast.

Prepare for a relentless barrage of short climbs, alongside the traditional crawls, climbs and carries that make up our unique obstacle races. This will be the perfect training ground for Edinburgh which might be even tougher.

You will need to spend plenty of time training in the hills to get your body ready for this race, and make it across the finish line. Your legs will be screaming by the time you make it across the finish line.

If you love running up hills you will want to be here at Aston Down, with a Sprint, Super, and Hurricane Heat - brand new to the UK - on offer.

Course Details

We return to Aston Down Airfield with an expanded event list. This hilly terrain greatly increases the difficulty of the race; many commented last year that the Super felt more like a Beast! Prepare for a relentless barrage of short climbs, alongside the traditional crawls, climbs and carries that make Spartan Race such a unique obstacle race.

Not only is the location of Aston Down infamous among Spartan regulars, but it holds the notorious Death Valley – prepare for some hills! Spartan South West is a favourite course for many and as we are returning for our 4th year, we promise it will be another to remember. Whether it’s your first or your fifth Spartan race – this is one to ensure you make!

Expect some mixed terrain and some technical running that will challenge everyone from the Elites to the Open waves.

Sprint 3 mi / 5 km, 20 Obstacles
The Spartan Sprint puts endurance aside and tests your quickness through 5 km loaded with 20 Obstacles. A great starter distance for beginners, or a perfect test against time for the more advanced racer.

Super 8 mi / 13 km, 25 Obstacles
The Spartan Super is as much mental as it is physical, spanning over 13 km that are just as unforgiving as the 25 Obstacles that litter the distance.

Kids 1.5 km
That’s right kids can race too. Every course is unique and designed to make the most of local trails and forest but you can guarantee there will be a wide variety of obstacles.
