About

Our St Ives, Huntingdon Swimrun starts and finishes at the beautiful Pike and Eel Marina in Needingworth in Cambridgeshire. The 10k and 21k Solo Swimrun races are part of the Fenland Runner Series Championship.We are really honoured to be working with the RSPB for this event. We have their kind permission to run around the Fen Drayton Nature Reserve which makes this course really special.

Route information

We start the 10 and 21k at the fabulous Hotel and Marina and after an epic first run along the Ouse Way we slip into the water in front of The Ferryman Pub in Holywell. An upstream swim brings us out onto beautiful meadows. Running along the riverside paths and around the meadow , we come to the river again and a cross over onto the nature reserve. An awesome run around RSPB Fen Drayton brings us back into the river.

It's all about river swimming with this event, with up and down stream sections and naturally occuring exits and entry points. The running is mainly flat compacted track with some grass trails. The 10k course is one loop of the course and the 21k is two (which makes the 10k around 10.5k but whos counting!).
