This year the Rotary Club of Stamford Burghley are in particular endorsing Charities at the Stamford Santa Fun Run. As per previous years, the emphasis is for local organisations and charities to enter their own teams in the Fun Run to raise money by sponsorship for their own good causes. Last year 75 teams took part and a total of over 500 "Santas" ran or walked the course despite the wintry weather.
The charities will put in teams and obtain their own sponsorship for individual runners. Other teams will also enter the run to raise funds for their own preferred charities.
The full web site will open on Saturday 1 September 2018. On line applications can then be completed.

The event will be on tarmac roads and country paths so your footwear should be suitable for these tracks bearing in mind it is December and may have been raining recently. To complete the 5km it will be necessary to complete 3 laps of the track. You will be expected to count your own completed laps although it is perfectly acceptable for you to complete less than the 3 laps if you want.
