Event summary

The Stevenage half marathon began in 1984 and takes place on the first Sunday of each November. The route follows the tarmac cycle paths and footpaths through the parks of Stevenage. All proceeds go to a local charity. It is a popular race and places are expected to fill very quickly.

Nice local race. I took the train from London and the race village was a 40 minutes walk. Nice set up (starts at the running track in Stevenage), easy to follow course with lots of marshals. I wore headphones without realising that you weren't allowed and got disqualified... So keep that in mind.… read more

Hey Jack. Just to let you know that you can pick any charity you wish to run for. If you purchase a standard entry ticket for the event you can then contact your charity of choice and let them know that you would like to raise money for them. You can then set up your own donate page which you can share with friends and family and start collecting sponsors :-)
