Route information
The route starts and finishes on the road, but mainly follows footpaths along the River Mersey and forms a loop in Northenden, before returning to Edgeley. We have temporary toilets and water stations located in the car park at the Waterside Leisure Club, around 3 miles and 10.5 miles into the race.

Edgeley Park has considerable catering and toilet facilities, which are capable of supporting thousands of participants.

Get full directionsWe will look to secure car parking facilities at the Booth Street depot, which is around 400 yards from the start line.
Event day logistics
Registration closure is determined and announced when event participation reaches the established capacity.
Retirements – all participants that are injured or retire from the race must inform a marshal and advise their name and number. The race organisers need to account for the safety of all our participants.

Is my entry fee refundable?
All entry fees are non-refundable, even in the unlikely event of race cancellation. The Stockport County Supporters Co-operative cannot be responsible for any consequential losses, in the event of the event being cancelled.
What age must I be to enter?
17 years old or older on the event day.
What is the event time requirement?
2 hours 45 minutes.
Can I swear headphones?
Participants must not wear ipods or music players. There are road sections on the course which are not closed to traffic. Furthermore there are a number of major road crossings and participants will need to take instruction from our marshals and Traffic Management Team.
