Route information
Join in this summer for a pre-breakfast 10k guided run through the beautiful woods and open ridgelines of the Chiltern Hills! Along the way you will learn trail running techniques and explore this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, famous for its use in filming locations.
The run will start at Ashridge House which is a stunning country estate based in the woods of Ashridge, in the Chilterns. You will end the run back at Ashridge where there is a cafe which is a great place to get a post run refreshment! Each 10k route will be different in this summer trail running series! It's a great way to stay motivated and make some new trail running friends.
As with all Run the Wild events, it's a team event so you will be grouped with similar ability runners and led by one of our experienced Run Leaders. You will walk anything too steep and it's a good opportunity to get some trail running tips from our leaders along the way.
The organisers have safe COVID-19 working practices in place which ensure social distancing and maximum numbers are relevant to current government guidelines. Your safety and enjoyment are their priority.
Paces
All entrants will be grouped by their ability, but it's definitely recommended that you can run a 5k non-stop.

Run The Wild
Since 2013, Run the Wild has been dedicated to delivering incredible trail running adventures in the UK and European Alps. Trail running is the ultimate pursuit of freedom, of feeling alive and it's something we are really passionate about! There’s nothing that compares to the feeling of running along mountain paths and for a moment leaving behind your busy life. Start YOUR amazing journey with Run the Wild! The company was founded to bring this experience of running trails in the wild; free of the usual race and logistical burdens, to you. We love exploring places, not just running races. We love meeting people and having an adventure together. We like races too, but this is where our heart really lies and if we can help you have more fun running trails; whether to see the sun rise over Mt Blanc as you climb up over a mountain pass, or indeed to check out a future race route then we will be happy! Join us running off into the unknown, the path flowing underneath your feet, snow capped mountains glinting in the sun, clouds melting away in the valleys far below. Setting your heart and mind free... Exploring places... not running races. This is what it feels like to be alive! “The mountains are calling and I must go.” John Muir, Meet the team.
