Sign up for the 3rd of this 10k summer series in Aldbury. This event will see you running through woods and picturesque film locations, all the while being provided trail running tips by your experienced guide. Come along if you want running, coaching and sightseeing all rolled into one.

Join us this summer for a pre-breakfast 10km guided run through the beautiful woods and open ridgelines of the Chiltern Hills! Along the way you will learn trail running techniques and explore this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, famous for its use in filming locations.

The event is easily accessible, just 40 minutes North West of London by rail or road and there is free on-site parking for all runners. All abilities are catered for, so whether you are a new to trail running, just looking to get some miles in an inspiring location, or smash out trails like a pro, you're in good hands. As with all Run the Wild events, it's a team event so you will be grouped with similar ability runners and led by one of our experienced Run Leaders who will route find and set the pace for you. We walk anything too steep and it's a good opportunity to get some trail running tips from our leaders along the way.

Course Details

We will start each run at the Musette Cafe, based in the quintessentially English village of Aldbury. All our guides are local UKA Coaches, and when not running can be seen sipping coffee at Musette's. We will end the run back at the cafe which is a great place to get a post run coffee, smoothie or a freshly cooked trail runners' breakfast!

Raceday Logistics

Race start time is 8am

Let's Do This always advise that you arrive at least 45 mins before the start of the race so that you have plenty of time to prep for the start and register.

Kit List

CLOTHES:

  • Wicking top and shorts or leggings
  • Socks (eg: Injinji)
  • Trail running shoes (sufficient tread)

WEATHER DEPENDENT ITEMS:

  • Lightweight waterproof jacket
  • Sun hat / cap
  • Warm hat and gloves

ACCESSORIES:

  • Fully Charged Mobile Phone including the numbers for the Lead Runners, Event Director as well as appropriate emergency services (charge before use and make sure it's in a waterproof case or bag)
  • Lightweight, comfortable running pack (max 12 litres)
  • Water Bottles / Bladder
  • Snacks to sustain you for the planned route
  • Waterproof bags / dry bags to keep stuff dry
  • Whistle (normally found attached to your bag)
  • Personal first aid kit (eg: blister packs, sunscreen, inhaler etc)
  • Please note: we will not be checking your kit on the day, but we highly recommend you bring these items for your safety.

Many people who run have partners as well as children! We will endeavour to cater for people who want to involve their family in the adventure. On most of our trips you can bring your family along to stay with you in the accommodation and this is particularly relevant on the Intro to the Alps where you will have free time in the afternoon so that you can spend time with the important people in your life who support you in these amazing adventures.
