Sunset Starlight Walk

This wonderful event is run in support of Garden House Hospice Care, raising vital funds for patient care. This is a fundraising event. All walkers taking part are encouraged raise money to support Garden House Hospice.

The beautiful evening walk will take you 7.5 miles through Letchworth and Hitchin, where you will take in lovely sights and meet some wonderful people.

The route, which starts and finishes at Mercure Letchworth Hall Hotel, has changed slightly this year to become an even more memorable experience. The walk will take you through beautiful countryside throughout, but on top of that there will be stations along the way to enhance your experience further with lights, colour, music and laughter, as well as some great food and drink!

The Sunset Station: Enjoy watching the sunset listening to lovely music with a soft cocktail in hand.

The Path of Light: This 1k section of the legendary Letchworth Greenway will be beautifully lit with lights, where you can light a candle in memory of a loved one.

The Snack Stop: Positioned just beyond halfway, you can enjoy a tasty treat from the snack station gazebo.

The Fountain of Lights: The fountain at Broadway Gardens will be lit up spectacularly in the Hospice colours creating a wonderful photo opportunity.

The Amphitheatre: Just before you reach the final leg of the walk, you can listen to some lovely music in the local park lit with lights.

The walk will be a wonderful experience throughout, as you can embrace the challenge and the nature around you in memory of a loved one.

When this amazing walk has come to an end, you can collect your medal and enjoy the selection of snacks available. There will also be drinks available to purchase from the hotel bar until midnight.

Throughout the walk there will be a quiz to test your knowledge and observational skills of the route you have taken, with the winners receiving a prize! And don't forget to bring your camera, there will be prizes for the best photos too!
