Learn the essential trail running skill of running in the dark. Great for those looking to improve their technical skills, the run will see runners receive technical tips for running in the dark from a local qualified trail running guide. Come for the running tips or for the cookies at the finish.

Technical Series - Night Run route

The run will be led by qualified mountain trail running guides along country trails which wind through the Ashridge forest and open fields.

This event represents a great opportunity to get out running in the dark in a safe environment with a group of like-minded runners.

It is also possible that runners may also see some wildlife, including the fallow deer local to the area as well as owls and badgers.

  • A Lead Runner for the team, with you every step of the way
  • Instruction on head torch use and trail running technique in the dark
  • 7 miles of night time trail running
  • Ability to sample selection of head torches from Suprabeam
  • Hot refreshments at the finish
Raceday Logistics

The event will start at 7pm at Berkhamsted Station and finish around 9pm.

Kit List

CLOTHES:

Wicking top and shorts or leggings
Socks (eg: Injinji)
Trail running shoes (sufficient tread)

WEATHER DEPENDENT ITEMS:

Lightweight waterproof jacket
Warm hat and gloves

ACCESSORIES:

Head Torch
Fully Charged Mobile Phone including the numbers for the Lead Runners, Event Director as well as appropriate emergency services.

Spectators

This event isn't suitable for spectators but feel free to join your loved ones at the finish.
