This was my first ever race and it was a fantastic experience!! It was well organised and the route was marked with plenty of Marshalls around

I absolutely loved the course. It was fantastic..the support was great. Unfortunately at the last part of the course probably a mile from the finish a car turned in front of me. I had to stop suddenly. I thought I was going to pass out my while body went dizzy. Luckily I managed to sort my self out. It was ok but a shame. I don't think the organisers realised it was going to turn so the fault of the driver.

The start was great. The middle and teh end not so good. The race was well organised, with plenty of car parking spaces and lots of clear information at the start of the race. There were also plenty of water stations - although on a hot day some more might of been nice, but I know that's hard to judge. However I wasn't so keen on the course. It was advertised as flat - which it isn't. The course also seemed to take in quite a few busy roads with traffic trying to get by. That said, the support out on the course was great. Finally the Finish. It was ok, but I didn't realise just how far the car park was from the Finish. It's a long way on tired legs. As I didn't have any money on me it was a long walk back to the car park to get some and then find somewhere to get any more water and food. Last thing. Showers. I though that there was supposed to be limited showers at the leisure centre. But when I tried to use them the wanted to charge me 4.50 for the privilege!

Great, lovely course and everyone so friendly. Great to finish in middle of the town. Certainly would recommend it.
  • Did the Half Marathon in 2019

Loads of water in the course which was great especially as the weather was good, loads of support. Marshalls were good especially as not all the roads were closed they did a great job of keeping everyone safe. Having the start and finish away from cars was a bit tricky especially after the race.
