Here are the distances available for Thames Trail Ultra

Route information
Starting 3 miles south of Oxford, the course closely hugs the River Thames as it makes its way through towns, villages and countryside on its way to London.
This route point to point route is 40.4 miles long and will have all entrants running on cross country trails, riverside paths and 6.6 miles on the road. Expect the course to be muddy and wet in places, it is advised to wear trail shoes with good grip.
This race is waymarked throughout but will require some navigation, all entrants will be provided with a map book and resources to keep you on track.
The finish will be in Henley.
Aid Stations
There will be well-stocked feed stations where runners can be cheered on by enthusiastic spectators. There are 5 Check Points, located at approximately 8-9 mile intervals. Each will have water, and a selection of supplementary energy gels.
Checkpoints are located at the following locations:
  • CP1: 10 miles - Culham Lock, Tollgate Road, Culham, Abingdon, OX14 4NE
  • CP2: 19.5 miles - Nearest Landmark is Waterfront Café. Benson Waterfront, Benson, OX10 6SJ
  • CP3: 27.7 miles - At the end of Manor Road, Goring RG8 9EH. Road finishes and turns into a track. Runners come along Manor Road, pass in front of the checkpoint.
  • CP4: 34 miles - Mapledurham RG8 8BD - Heading east from Pangbourne A329 to Purley on Thames take left into New Hill. Cross railway to bottom of Road. There is a junction with the lane (no entry) from Mapledurham Lock. On verge looking down the lane. Runners approach from Mapledurham Drive.
  • CP5: 41.7 miles - Sonning RG4 6UT (park opposite)
  • Finish: Mill Meadows, Meadow Road, Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire RG9 1BE
UTMB points
This is an Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc (UTMB) qualifying race, finisher's will be awarded with 3 Endurance points by ITRA.

For anyone travelling by train there is a courtesy shuttle bus from Oxford train station which is usually very popular, please let the organiser know your rail travel arrangements to help them plan.
By Car
There is limited parking in Iffley, if you are driving to the start, you will be directed to street parking areas in the vicinity.

Registration
All runners should arrive at least 45 minutes before the start of the race in order to drop their bags and complete the registration process.
Age Requirements
All entrants must be 18 years or older to compete.

Kit Checks
There will be random kit checks before the start of the race, all runners must be carrying the mandatory kit with them or they will not be able to participate.
Prizes
There will be prizes awarded for 1st, 2nd, 3rd male and female competitors.
Bag Transfer
All entrants must only bring one bag to be transferred to the finish. The bag should be no larger than UK airport carry-on bag size (56 x 45 x 25cm)
UTMB points
This is an Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc (UTMB) qualifying race, finisher's will be awarded with 3 Endurance points by ITRA.

Yes, there will be a bag drop. Also, each competitor will be able to have one bag transferred from the start to the finish.
