Well, it was certainly under described on the entry lol!! Hills, hills and more hills! One of the toughest courses I’ve ever done! I would recommend you change the description to a fell race rather than trail though and include mandatory fell kit as on the tops the weather changed and I was frozen in my shorts and vest! Otherwise a great little race for the hill lovers, a nice medal and coaster and lots of friendly people! Enjoyed it, I think 🤣

Far tougher course than I expected with 3 or 4 extremely steep hills and quite a few narrow sections in the early stages which made passing was impossible. I had never previously been in the area so relied on course signage and ended up going the wrong way a few times as signage was sparse, especially after the dam and again about 2 miles from the finish. Thankfully a runner with GPS kindly helped me out. Overall, it was enjoyable and scenic with a relaxed atmosphere. A good challenge, friendly people and well worth the entrance fee.

Personally i did not enjoy the course on the day, I massively under estimated the course, due to this I didn’t enjoy on the day, but I do feel different now lol

Great run and a wonderful trail. The pictures don't do it justice. Really tough course but worth it for the views.

It is hilly, be prepared to walk some of it. There is a cracking down hill run off the first hill that I loved , having taken a minute to admire the view from the cairn.Well marked apart from a spot on the permissive path that wasn't marked , apparently because the farmer may have had livestock there and didn't want it flagged, we were warned of this at the race briefing. Two water stations, with sanitiser etc. but not complicated. A bit of everything, wood, grass , footpaths , tracks, rocky bits to trip you up and a bit of road. Enjoy, it's not going to be fast.
