Nice route and staff and volunteers were all really friendly. I know the heat wave we've had is perhaps not common however I think it would be better to start summer races earlier because at 10.30am it was already far too hot.

Just the 9k marker was not there, which would have helped me to know in the finishing stages

It was very hot and just one water station. Maybe there could have been an extra one as some runners were struggling. Only 5 toilets not too close.

Thanks to the organisers and Marshals for making this event possible. Last time I ran it in 2019 I'd loved coming across the finishing line seeing the timing and hearing my name called out so found it much less exciting at the finish this time.

The race didn’t start until 10.30 which is unusual as races normally start at nine. That later start meant that the temperature was higher and the roads on the course where busier. For a summer race it would have been better with a 9 am start.

I’ll keep coming back, although some locals obviously don’t like the disruption as I got struck by white van man when warming up
