The event is classed as one of the UK’s toughest triathlons. The challenge is a 1.2 mile sea loch swim, a 56 mile road cycle, and a 13 mile hill run to the summit of Ben Nevis and back. It takes commitment, determination and a whole lot of heart to conquer this breath-taking course. Victory, though is sweet, with views from the summit extending up to 120 miles!

Route description
The swim is 1.2 miles/1900m. The swim will have a deep water start and will be two laps in open water. The first lap must be completed within 40 minutes of the start time. The course is liable to change dependant on weather conditions.
The bike is 56 miles on the roads around Ben Nevis. After leaving the transition, the course follows the A82 South along the by-pass to the West end roundabout, round the roundabout and back along the bypass following the A82 towards Inverness. There will be drinks and feeding stations throughout the course.
The run is a 13 mile trail run up to the summit of Ben Nevis and then back down. When competitors reach the summit, they must report to the summit marshal and return down the mountain by the same route.
Registration is on the preceding Friday between 18:00-21:00 at The Moorings Hotel. All participants will receive a race briefing (20:30), safety information and the latest course information. There will be a ‘Pasta Party’ for pre-race day fuel during registration.
The race start time will be confirmed nearer the race.
Spectators are more than welcome and there is no fee for this event.
