This wonderful swimming event is run in support of Garden House Hospice Care, raising vital funds for patient care. This is a fundraising event. All swimmers taking part must raise at least £50 in sponsorship.
There is something for all the family, with 4 distances on offer and something for swimmers of all abilities. The swim will take place at the wonderful Letchworth Garden City outdoor lido, so it's a brilliant chance to swim in a safe environment but still in the great outdoors.
So whether you are coming along to take on your first outdoor swimming event, or you want to take on the fabled marathon swim distance of 10k, this event has something for you.

Letchworth Garden City Train Station is just a short walk from the pool.

Age Restrictions

The Pups 400m & The Sailfish 1 Mile - For swimmers age 8 and over.

The Dolphins 5k - For swimmers age 11 and over.

The Mako 10k - For swimmers age 18 and over.
Under 18s must be always accompanied by a participating adult during the event.
Race Pack
You will collect your race pack on the day of the event when you register. Your pack will include your swim cap to wear for the event. You will also need to mark your number onto your arm and leg for identification of what swim group you are in.
Fundraising
All swimmers taking part must raise at least £50 in sponsorship.
This event is supporting Garden House Hospice Care which provides personalised and compassionate palliative end of life care for those in need following a diagnosis of a life limiting illness.
Your entry fee only covers the cost of you taking part in the event, and the Hospice must raise almost £5 million a year to keep providing for those in need.
This is why your minimum fundraising amount has been set at £50. You can pay this donation when you are registering, or you can fundraise and go above and beyond the £50 minimum!

Swimmers will receive their race pack on the day of the event when they register. This will include your swim cap for the event.
