There’s no pressure, just some easy moves and lots of laughs. It’s all about getting involved, having fun and enjoying the whole experience of the day.

Route information
The course is entirely on tar, although some sections of the course do accumulate mud in wet conditions. The route includes two anti-clockwise loops around the park with the lake on your left. It passes by the toy train shelter called “Cannon Hill Station” and the tennis courts and bowling green.
The route starts and finishes on an open flat area of grass and from then onwards, the route remains on the path throughout, until reaching the finish area. Apart from approximately 50m of grass at the start / finish, the Big Fun Run Birmingham route is suitable for wheelchair users. The 50m of grass is on a slight slope and assistance may be required to ascend/decend this part of the course.

There are three main entrances to the park (Russell Road, Edgbaston Road, Pershore Road). There is no vehicle access within Cannon Hill Park. Parking with charge is available at different car parks. There’s a large car park off Edgbaston Road, opposite the Warwickshire Cricket Ground and near the mac entrance. There is also a small car park off the Russell Road entrance. However, runners are encouraged to consider public transport or car sharing, as buses serve Edgbaston Road and Pershore Road.

When do entries close?
tandard online entries will close on the Thursday night 9-10 days before the event takes place or when the course capacity is reached, whichever is earliest. Late online entries are available up until 10am on the day of the race if the course capacity has not already been reached. You can also enter on the day of the race at the Event Number Station.
