The Big Mile is a free, family-friendly mass participation event that takes place on the same finishing stretch as The Big Half by the iconic Cutty Sark in Greenwich. It’s the perfect event for first-time runners or walkers, families with children and anyone looking to get more active – plus it’s accessible for wheelchair users.

Everyone very friendly, fun atmosphere, great to see so many people involved!

A really fun event for anyone, any ability any age. Great for all, especially families. Really well organised 😊

See more diversity in the front line not just as marshals. The event needs to be accessible to the wider minority if were going to tackle health equality in the form of exercise 

Fantastic day. First time for the Grandchildren who was super excited really enjoyed the event. They ran all the way and waited for me at the end.  Of course I walked mist of it overall a lovely day and finishing. Whole family looking forward to next year. Thank you for th excellent organisation very efficient. 

My 5 year old loved it and will be signing up for 2024!

Event guide should have a detailed map of the start area. Signage was good and staff on hand were helpful. Enjoyed the event. Could have been a 2 mile version to add more challenge

Thank you. Excellent day. Run on behalf of our athletics club. First time for grandchildren and they loved it. Ran the whole route left me walking. Executed professionally. Had a really enjoyable day. Location was easy to find and the route was just right for the little ones. They are already asking about the next one. The whole family will be participating 2024. Couldn't have asked for a better day. They loved getting the medal at the end.

We love doing this family event. It brings us all together and gets rather competitive. Excellent day out and the little ones love showing off their medals at the end. Thank you

This was my first such event and me and my family really enjoyed it, the organisation was top-notch and the atmosphere was really lively.

Hard to run the course if you not in front rows, otherwise you find yourself weaving in and around people walking,pushchairs and people just stopping randomly,

Very well organised and thank you for putting these events on, appreciate they are a huge amount of work!

Easy to follow directions fun course and well organised- we loved it! 

I throughly enjoyed taking part in the Big Mile, the atmosphere was amazing and it was nice to see that people of any age and ability can take part.

It was awesome experience everyone was cheerful and encouraging. Especially with family it’s a memorable day spent. 

It was lovely, the run could have been at least 5k but still nice enough. Will do it again for sure x

The Big Mile was really fun. It would be good to clearly show on the website where exactly you can meet runners after and particularly a pick up point for children as mine finished at different times. It was a lot of fun.
