Route information
Long Route
The long route is a super punchy day out in the Chilterns. After a rolling first 35k to get the legs ready, the middle 110k is packed with climbs of all shapes and sizes from the very steep Whiteleaf to the gradual Ivinghoe Beacon. The extra loop on the long route from Princess Risborough towards Wendover and beyond is very challenging with almost no flat sections.
Medium Route
A lumpy but rewarding 100k route in the heart of the Chilterns. We set out near the Thames in Goring Heath and roll north to Watlington where the climbing really begins. The bulk of the elevation is in the punchy middle 60km of this route as we head over Hill Road, Chinnor Hill and the very steep climbs in Princess Risborough including the Top 100 climb of Whiteleaf.
You will be provided with the route GPX files closer to the date.

I think it was too much money. There were supposed to be 2 feed points on the route but there was only 1 with no mention of this. It also stated that at the end there will be food trucks etc. But there wasn't. There also seemed to be very few riders and I completed the ride on my own. Which I could have done without the £45. I spotted only a handful of other riders on the event throughout. That's not your fault, I appreciate that. But atmosphere was very poor.

Medium route in 2022.The signage on the course contradicted the provided GPX file on few occasions. I decided to stick to the GPX route and followed it exactly. Probably because of that I missed the second feed station, ran out of water and was really struggling last third of the course. Two feed stations are OK on a normal day, but it was one of the hottest days of the year with an amber warning, so not providing an additional water station is a gross negligence.Overall I feel like I paid 45 pounds just to follow the arrows: no atmosphere and not many participants (was cycling completely alone most of the course).

Really lacked atmosphere. Really aloof event team at the start and finish. Route was good and as described. Marked out ok.
