This Half Marathon and Forbidden Fruit 5k take place at The Henley Showground. The route will be mainly on the road but will also contain some grass and trail sections.
Cider (and water) stations will be available throughout this brilliant run that combines participants' love for running and cider. The cider will come from a variety of producers from around the UK. Join others like you who like to run hard and play hard.
Runners taking on the Half Marathon will receive 12 tasters on the course, while 5k runners will receive 3 tasters on the course. Both will receive a free pint at the finish.
Participants are encouraged to stay after the event at the Ciderthon Village, where they can enjoy bars, music, and more.
Please be aware this is not a timed event, and you should not expect to receive a time. And while you are on course extra caution is recommended due to the challenges associated with running whilst consuming alcohol.

Race Transport
A bus shuttle service will be available from Central Henley (near the station) to Culden Faw Estate. This will go to and from the start location and can be selected when booking for an extra £7.

Age Restrictions
All runners must be 18 or over on the day of the event in order to participate.
All participants will be asked to provide an acceptable form of Identification on arrival to confirm their age (Driving License, Passport). Participants who are unable to provide ID when requested will not be permitted to participate and no refunds will be offered to anyone who is refused entry for this reason.
Race Packs
You will collect your bib number on the day, which must be fastened to your front throughout the race.
Bag Drop
Bag drop will also be available between 9:30 - 11:45.
Aid Stations
First aid posts will be located at several intervals around the course and there will be a medical tent in the Runners Village.
Toilets
There will be toilets located around the route There will also be toilets in Ciderthon Village at the start and finish.
Cider & Water Stops
Water will be available at every mile (but not exactly on the mile), of the run directly after the cider tasting station. This will be served in cardboard cups, some will be handed out by our marshals and it will be available for you to pick up from the table.
Race Photos
There will be photographers on the day around the course and at the start and finish line. Photos taken will be available a few days after the event.
Dogs
The races are unfortunately not canicross friendly. However, dogs are welcome at the Ciderthon Village by start and finish line of the event.

Is there race transport available to and from the Ciderthon?
Yes! A bus shuttle service will be available from Central Henley. This will go to and from the start location, and can be selected when booking for an extra £7.

How old do I have to be to take part in the Ciderthon?
All runners must be 18 years or older on the day to take part. You must provide acceptable identification to be allowed to take part (Driving License, Passport).
