The Druid’s Challenge route

A broad track that takes the higher ground, the Ridgeway is a unique route that passes through the North Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), often quite a distance from any towns or villages, giving a real sense of peace and seclusion. You'll experience open views of the rolling chalk downland, peppered with ancient monuments including Stone Age long barrows, Bronze Age round barrows, Iron Age forts and white horse chalk figures. It's a National Trail with plenty of clear signposts and post discs. You'll also be given a route card, designed to get you through any trickier sections.

Kit List

The only compulsory kit is a fully charged mobile phone and a minimum 500ml of water, but it's worth taking a look at our recommended kit list.

Other equipment may be made compulsory by the race director depending on the weather.

No, the sign ups will close one week before the event and you can join the waitlist if the event is filled.

We want our customers to enjoy the freedom of being able to focus on the physical challenge and not have to worry about anything else. We welcome and design races that will reach everyone who wants to push their boundaries and take part in endurance events. From beginner to expert, we welcome everyone who wants to challenge themselves with like minded people. The XNRG team have a mixture of experience in endurance events, from ultra running to Ironman to multi stage adventure races. Our passion for endurance comes from our many years of racing.
