Route information
A three day, 84-mile, 134k, ultra marathon crossing the historic Ridgeway. Entrants will follow in the footsteps of travellers, herdsmen and soldiers who have used the Ridgeway since prehistoric times.
Be entranced by the ancient landscapes, hidden valleys, beautiful downland and woodland.
There are 3 options that entrants can choose to enter when signing up:
  • Walkers: 3 miles per hour (20-minute miles)
  • Main Start: 4-6 miles per hour (10-minute miles)
  • Elite Group: 7-9 miles per hour (<10-minute miles)

By Train
To The Start: Trains run regularly from London Marylebone to Tring, and take approximately 35 minutes. It's a short shuttle ride from the Station to the Registration point.
Shuttle
There is a free shuttle which entrants have the option to use to collect them from the train station and transport them to the start line.
Accommodation
Entrants will stay at Icknield Community College in Watlington on the first night and Didcot Leisure centre, Mereland Road, Didcot, OX11 8AY on the second night, with sleeping accommodation in a large hall.
Hotels
For those who choose to stay at a hotel, there will be shuttles running from each of these 3 hotels. If you're planning to stay somewhere else, please make sure you've booked taxis to and from the event.
  • Thursday Night - Alexander Hotel, Swindon (for those taking the coach to the start on Friday morning), or the Premier Inn, Tring close to the start
  • Friday night - The Mercure Hotel, Watlington
  • Saturday night - Premier Inn Milton Interchange, Abingdon

Registration
All competitors must register on arrival. At registration, you will be given your race number route card and timing chip. The cafe will be open and will be serving hot drinks.
Race pack
Race numbers will be given at registration on Day 1 of the event, and you will keep them for the duration of the event.
Bag Drop
Drop your overnight bag off with the crew and it will be taken to the overnight stop for you.

No, the sign ups will close one week before the event and you can join the waitlist if the event is filled.

Competitors will race from Buckinghamshire to Wilshire taking the oldest roadway in the UK over 3 days.

What do I need for the overnight stops?
For the overnights, you will need a sleeping bag, sleeping mat, wash kit, towel and comfortable clothing and footwear to wear in the evening.

Can I bring a bag, and if so how much luggage can I bring?
It is recommended that each competitor brings a reasonably-sized bag which can hold your sleeping bag, sleeping mat, overnight gear and a change of clothes for each day of running. These bags will be transported to each location each day.

Yes, there will be multiple extension leads around the hall.
