Many people went the wrong way and it wasn’t noticed. The course was laps in an industrial estate but when we signed up the route maps were showing a large route out of town which looked better. Some people cut the corners because there was no cone to go round on turnaround points. So knowing actual finishing positons was impossible. Some (many) were not directed to go round transition so that was unfair too. All in all a bit of a disaster.

Could be a great event, a few more marshals to navigate the twist n turns but lovely people and nice flat course

Course was good as traffic free but a lot of twists and turns and issues with people going down the wrong way, this meant people did different distances

I did enjoy this event- but there were a few things that could be improved.First the real positivesFree and easy parking literally right by the start.Super friendly organisersEasy registration Super informal No judgement for being new and having to ask the rulesReally really pretty courseHonest description in relation to it being challenging. And the not so good bits…..No toilets….There were no Marshall’s on the course like it said there would be- other than a couple of the run legs. The signs for the bike route were pretty poor- they need to look at how these can be made to stand out for next time…..The ‘medal’ was pretty naff- a wooden plaque that didn’t even have the correct month on it is a bit poor.I think it was quite expensive for what you got- given the points that I have mentioned above.Glad I finally managed to try a Duathlon though!
