Join us for this brand new 10K race using the fast and flat lanes to the north of the Town Centre.

The race is on a pancake-flat course through the lanes surrounding the marsh town of Lydd. Runners of all standards are welcome and race profits are donated to Breast Cancer Now.

The race is generously sponsored by EDF Energy.

Course Details
The race will start on the main road adjacent to the Banks Sports Club in Dennes Lane, which is found just off the High Street. Participants will head out to the north of the town and cover a rural single lap route.

The route is pancake flat and will be officially measured, and carries a certificate of course accuracy.

The route will be clearly marked using large route arrows, as well as being marshalled throughout. Please note that the roads will only be closed for the start of the race and although they are quiet lanes there is a chance you may meet a vehicle on the route.
Raceday Logistics

Let's Do This always recommend that you arrive at least 45 mins before your start time so that you have enough time to both register and prep for the race start.

Facilities:

On Site Parking
Toilets
Baggage Drop Off

First Aid:

St John Ambulance or an alternative medical provider will be in attendance on the day and the course will be marshalled to provide assistance. There will also be a sweep marshal following the race to ensure that nobody is left behind and that all runners are accounted for.

Results:

Your individual time and position will be recorded by your electronic chip. We will endeavour to display results as they come into the race centre. Results will be uploaded to www.nice-work.org.uk as soon as possible after the race. All entrants that have supplied a valid and legible email address will receive a copy of the results as soon as possible after the race.
Volunteers

If you would like to volunteer to help at any of our events, there are a variety of roles available from marshalling to helping with event set-up. We offer our volunteers a free entry to a future race and, in some cases, expenses are available. If interested, please contact: [email protected]

FAQs

How do I attach my timing chip?

Your timing chip is incorporated into your race number and should not be removed. Please place the race number on the front of your vest/shirt and not on your leg or back.

How do I attach my race number?

Please attach your race number to the front of your running top or vest using safety pins or clips, securing it on all four corners. Please don’t attach your number to the back of your shirt as it is difficult for our timekeepers and marshals to identify you.
