Route information
This is one of the flattest 200 mile and 200k courses in the country. SportiveUK went out of their way to find a route where competitors would be able to focus on speed and benchmark their summer training. There are a number of "speed bumps", but with only 3400ft of elevation over the whole 200 miles or 200k, there is nothing they would consider a Yorkshire hill. This is an incredibly popular event and due to the lack of elevation gain, and tickets do go very fast.
The course will set out at 6:30am through the fast and flat roads of York, allowing riders to get a solid warm up as they build up the speed and the miles. Riders will then cross the Trent at Keadby, and head north to the Humber Bridge before winding along the foothills of Lincolnshire Wolds, under the shadow of the hills but never venturing into them. After crossing back over the Trent, riders will be on the home straight to hit that huge 200 mile or 200k milestone.
Celebrate at the finish with your fellow riders, and refuel with burgers, chips, and ice cold beer.

Sportive HQ
Sportive HQ was formed by Matthew Porter in 2014, after having approximately 10 years experience in the organisation of various types of cycling events. It was very much the feeling that sportives were becoming more expensive over the last few years and that need not be the case, value for money can be put alongside quality events. Sportive HQ works alongside local clubs to produce events that riders will want to do every year. We listen to what riders want from an event and endeavour to meet those requests. At Sportive HQ we like to keep things simple, ample free parking, showers, changing rooms, a timed event with well spaced, well stocked feed stations and routes to challenge everyone of all abilities. Sportive HQ helps in the production of many local charity events and have helped raise, alongside local clubs, in excess of £50,000 for local charities over the last few years.
