Euphoric, challenging, intense, joyful. All the emotions wrapped in a few hours of running.

The race was a great challenge and overall I enjoyed it, but there were some issues with organisation that let it down:- some parts of the route lacked red flags/turn markers (for example when you had made a turn and needed confirmation you were going the right way - there were 2 or 3 times where you couldn't see another flag for confirmation for quite some distance.- I did not see portaloos at each aid station.- the aid stations weren't very well stocked - there was only tortilla crisps in terms of "real food", the rest being gels or energy sweets (which untested I wouldn't want to try for the first time during a race); and there was no cola or crisps left at the final aid station (at a point and time when the ultra runners would need it most).- I was really disappointed that the water provided was poured from hundreds of very small plastic bottles (500ml and some 250ml) - given we all had our own cups, the environmental impact could have been vastly reduced by having larger water containers.- the event village had effectively packed up by the time we finished (5pm/just under 10 hours) - so there was no massages and no food available.I was very grateful to the marshalls that helped with road crossings.

Improved course marking made it easier to avoid getting lost. Well done on getting this iconic event up and running again.

Lovely route though very hilly. Well marked, great medal. Not much choice at the aid stations (just water, fizzy coke and gels), and communication before the event was not the best. Would do again.

Beautiful day out. Very hot so would have preferred an extra water stop. Waves could have been a little more spaced as lots of sections single file.
