The marshals were the friendliest I have ever experienced. It was my first 70.3 and I was dreading it but from start to finish I felt supported by everyone.

Swim was marked well enough. Transition area could have been bigger (more than enough room). Bike course signage could be a bit more frequent to reassure leaders as to which direction to be heading. Run course signage was perfect.

I down loaded a green tick from the web which said the start time was 8.30am. another reference to the start time was 7.00.am. the race started at 8.00am. confusion or what.!!. The iron man race started 3mins early and two competitors mist the start by 3mins. It was a bit chaotic with so many different events going on at the same time. Apart from that iit was a ok sort of day .

Very good pre race info. Everyone REALLY friendly! Great, quick race timings. Two things that couldn’t be improved. Transition area too small so bikes everywhere. Numbered racking much better/safer. Signage not great, eg on bike route not clear which race was which direction. Swim end hard to see- would be better with bug buoy/sign! Thank you all. Oh yes, no race t shirt and few healthy snacks options after but entry fee low so maybe that’s why?
