All routes start at the industrial heritage museum at Amberley and make great use of the local bridleways in the form of the Monarch's Way and the South Downs Way.
With a varied terrain throughout each route including vehicle width farm tracks and some narrower flowing single trail tracks, one minute you'll be hauling yourself upwards and the next racing down to the base of the hills.
The gravel adventure will take you back to Amberley through the market town of Arundel, rolling past the medieval Arundel Castle at the top of the hill.
The route is challenging in sections, but nothing each rider can't handle if taken nice and steadily.
Long Route: 53k and 1021m ascent
Middle Route: 36k and 579m ascent
Short Route: 24k and 391m ascent
Rook Route: 13k and 244m ascent

A very well organised and slickly run event with a tricky but rewarding course. The course was very well marked

Hi, is a standard road bike with 26mm gravel tyres (panaracer sk) OK for this event?, thanks.
Hi, what do you think of my question? I have used the bike to ride the avenue very from Crawley to Newhaven with good mix of surfaces. Do you think it would be OK for this event?
What do you think? I used this bike to ride the avenue vert from Crawley to Newhaven which was pretty rough in places.
