The Gravesend Cyclopark 10K & 5K Charity Santa Dash routes

The Santa Dash is all for a great cause; organised by Martin Tolhurst Solicitors, this event raises funds for Sands - Stillbirth & neonatal death charity.

This is a lapped course around the hard tarmac of the cycle circuit. Despite the route being well lit, please be aware that the outer areas may be darker and if you are likely to be a race leader then please consider bringing a head torch.

10KM racers will complete four laps of the circuit while the 5KM event will complete it twice.

The course is naturally undulating, with a few upward gradients along the way as well as a long downhill section. The course will be well marshalled throughout and St John's ambulance or another medical provider will be on-site.

Well organised. Only criticism is that the queues were shorter for those who registered on the day than for those pre-registered.

A well run course and provided enough changes in elevation to keep it interesting without being to difficult.

    Did the 10K in 2018

I did this as my first 10K in December 2018. It was a great morning with over 300 people all dressed as Santa. Good course and well organised with plenty of encouragement from the volunteers. Chip timed. Great fun and I have booked again this year.
  • Did the event in 2018

A nice fun event to celebrate Christmas.Pros: big car park, traffic-free run, indoor changing area, proper toilets, Santa costume included in the price, massive finisher medal, free pics to download from Facebook.Cons: parking was not free and the queue at the ticket machine was very long, Santa costume comes in one size only so it was a bit uncomfortable to wear, chip time was not made available (I assume there was a technical issue) so only gun time was uploaded on RunBritain.
  • Did the 10K in 2018

I had never run at the cyclopark before so I wasnt sure what to expect. The 10k Santa Dash comprised 4 laps all on tarmac road surface. There was a lovely downhill bit........and then a bit of a slow burn with a couple of little hills. I was delighted to be First Lady and look forward to competing again in 2019.
  • Did the event in 2018

Great event, if its not too cold you dont need much under the Santa outfit! A bit hillier than expected but a great event on a great surface.
