Stay true to that New Years resolution with the 4th instalment of the Gravesend 5K and 10K series. Perfect for runners of all experience, this course is naturally undulating and loops around the floodlit cycle track. Come to end January on a high or for the ideal Spring marathon preparation.

The Gravesend Floodlit 10K and 5K Series – Race 4 routes

The 10K and 5K courses use the fast tarmac cycle circuit. The 10K event will cover four laps and the 5K event will be two laps.

The route will be clearly marked using directional cones to guide you around the course and at the extremities of the course there will be extra lighting to guide you around the circuit.

The route is an undulating but fast course with a couple of inclines to contend with, along with a long downhill section and covers the tarmac roads using the outer circuit of the Cyclopark.

Runners should be aware that although the majority of the Cyclopark is floodlit, the extremities of the circuit are not. There will be additional lighting in these areas; however, you may wish to run with a head torch if you struggle to see in low light.

Raceday Logistics

17:30 Start line opens

19:30 Start line closes

Participants will be set off in 5-minute slots, beginning at 17:30 all the way up until 19:30. There will be a maximum of 12 people per time slot.

Kit List

Race numbers must be worn on the front of your shirt and not on your legs or back. Make sure to not damage the timing chip.

Spectators

Due to the current situation, spectators are encouraged not to attend. If they must, it is asked that they congregate at the start/finish area.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are there on-site changing facilities or a bag drop?

No, due to the current situation there will be no baggage drop or changing facilities for use at the event.

Is there an age requirement to participate?

Participants must be 11 years of age and over to enter the 5k, and 15 years and older to enter the 10k.

Will there be toilets?

Yes, there will be toilets at the start/finish area but it is asked that you take care washing your hands and sanitise regularly.

Will there be water stations on the course?

No, there will be no water stations on the course so runners are urged to bring their own water with them.

Will my race number be sent to me or do I need to pick it up on race day?

If you have entered the race in good time then it will be sent to you in the post. If you entered close to race day then you will need to collect your race number on the day of the event. Entries are not available on the day.

Where can I find results for the Gravesend Floodlit 10K and 5K Series – Race 4?

Results will be recorded from your electronic chip. Results will be uploaded to the www.nice-work.org.uk and sent to you by email as soon as possible after the race.
