This year the run will start and finsh at The Sheepmount Athletics Stadium in Carlisle. The flood damage that prevented the race finishing there last year has been repaired and the facility is now open and ready to host this great event again - here's to a mud free 2018!

Better operate over 250 leisure centres across the UK and Ireland. We are a Social Enterprise and a not-for-profit charitable trust which simply means that our profits are put back into the facilities we run and the local community - Because you run, local children can enjoy school holiday activities. Because you run, more people can learn to swim.

So why not start now? Get entered and tomorrow the count down to the 7th of October 2018 begins and YOUR half marathon.

Loved it. Took my time and had a blast! Great support on route along with plenty of people giving out sweets to give you a boost when the going gets tough.
