About
A 5K run for all ages and abilities starting and finishing at the centre of the village of Hawkesbury Upton. The course visits sections of the beautiful Cotswold Way, with stunning views of the glorious Gloucestershire countryside. Come and run, jog or walk the HU5K route, either to get a top time, or just for fun. All finishers will be awarded an exclusive medal, with winner's medals for the fastest runners in each age category.

Route information
The route is gently undulating, either paved, earth-surfaced or on grass fields. There will be full signage to make sure you stay on track, and plenty of marshals to cheer you on and keep you safe.

Get full directionsWeather permitting, the Badminton Estate have kindly allowed us to park in a field a short walk from the start line. Marshals will be on hand to direct you. Please do not park on the High Street or in the Village Hall car park on race day. Please do not block residential driveways. Please Note: All vehicles are parked at the owners risk.
Event day logistics
You can collect your race number at the Village Hall, GL9 1AT from 9:30 on the day (15th June). Once you’ve done that, simply make your way to the start line in time for the 11:00 start.
Spectator Info
The race starts and finishes at Hawkesbury Village Hall, where there will be homemade cakes and a fabulous BBQ. You could also cheer on the runners whilst they’re on the course – perhaps take a walk down the High Street and investigate one of Hawkesbury’s fabulous pubs

Absolutely! Whilst we do time the race and celebrate the winners, plenty of people do it for fun, or just walk the course. There’s a great training plan here if you need some inspiration.
How old do children have to be take part?
If children are at primary school they can join in, as long as they’re accompanied by an adult.
How much does it cost to enter?
