About
Great Yarmouth Road Runners are pleased to host the Great Yarmouth Promenade 5 Mile Series. This is the first race in the three-race series, which takes in a fast and flat course along the seafront and offers a great opportunity for a PB. There will be medals for all finishers, plus age category prizes and prizes for leading runners available at each race. There will be a special prize if course records are broken; this prize can only be won once in the series.

Route information
The race starts on Marine Parade just south of the Marina Centre, the route proceeds North, around the boating lakes, back down the promenade to the Marina Centre another lap, then finishing on the promenade. The course is flat, paved and traffic free, but please be aware of vehicles entering and leaving car parks.
The current male course record is 25:17 and the female course record is 28:34.

There are refreshments, changing and shower facilities available.
Age category prizes and prizes for leading runners available at each race.
Special prize if course records are broken. Prize can only be won once in the series.
Nice Work are responsible for providing chip timing and entry management services.

On arrival to Great Yarmouth, follow the signs to the seafront. The Marina Centre is a large building located centrally on Marine Parade, between Britannia Pier and The Jetty, on the seafront side of the road.
Parking:
Parking is free on the roadside on Marine Parade and other roads from 6pm. If you park in the Marina Centre North and South car parks, the cost is £10 for 3 hours. There are other cheaper pay and display car parks nearby Please check all parking signs.
