Route information
- Elevation: 232m (per loop)
Each lap will be 5.33k loops which will be mainly on pathways around Gedling Country Park. This route will be gently undulating throughout providing fantastic scenery of the solar farm and much more as you race. You are welcome to run for as long as you wish as long as it is within the time limit. You must also complete one lap to be classed as a finisher.
If you are aiming for a certain distance please see below for how many laps you will have to cover:
- Half Marathon: 4 laps
- Marathon: 8 laps

There will be a car park on-site for participants to use.
By Train
The closest train station is Nottingham Railway Station. From Nottingham centre you can take the number 47 bus which will drop you off at the race venue.

Race packs
Race packs must be collected from registration on the day of the event and will not be posted out.
Age Requirements
You must be 18 years or older to enter the event unless you have been given previous permission by the event organiser.
If you are between the ages of 12 and 18 you will need a parent or guardian to contact the event organiser before the event for special permission to run. Runners of the following ages will be restricted to the following distances:
- 12 - 14: 5k
- 14 - 16: 6k
- 16 - 17: 10k
- 17 - 18: 25k
- 18 - 20: 45k
Goody Bags
There will be a vegan option available for goody bags make sure to select what goody bag you would like when booking this event.
Aid stations
There will be fully stocked aid stations at base camp full of enjoyable fuel such as fudge, cakes, cookies, jelly babies and much more. You are welcome to bring your own food and drinks to the aid stations.
Bags
There is not an official bag drop at the event, you will be able to leave your bags at base camp if needed. The event organisers do not guarantee that they'll be safe, but someone will be around for the duration of the event.
Toilets
There will be public toilets available near the cafe which is 150 metres away from registration.

Will there be a bag drop available at The Headstock Run?
There will not be a secure area on site and it is recommended to leave your non-essentials in your car. However, if you are not driving, there will be an area where you are welcome to leave your belongs. The organiser cannot guarantee that they'll be safe, there will always be someone from Rasslebock around.
When does The Headstock Run start?
The race will start at 10:30, please make sure to not arrive before 10:00am as junior park run will be on beforehand and the organiser wants to make sure
Is there parking at The Headstock Run?
Yes, there will be on-site parking available at the event.
Can I wear headphones at The Headstock Run?
Yes, you are welcome to wear headphones on the course but make sure to be fully aware of your surroundings at all times.
