Route information
All 1 and 3 mile swimmers will begin and finish at the La Jolla Cove. There will be two left turns around two buoys. Wave swimmers will be in groups of 110-200 swimmers. There will be plenty of great views to take in whilst you race. Come for open water swimming at its finest.

Age Requirements
It is recommended to be 16 years of age or older to participate. All under 18's must receive parental consent.
Awards
There will be age group prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place swimmers. This will be in age brackets of 5 years beginning with 18 and under, 19-24, 25-29, and so on. There will also be awards for the oldest and youngest participants as well as the furthest traveled.
There will also be a $500 cash prize for the swimmer who comes 1st place in both the 1 & 3-mile races.

In 2019, the event donated $8,333 to The Prevent Drowning Foundation to provide swimming lessons for inner-city youth, $20,000 to conduct 4 summer concerts in 2020: $15,000 beautification enhancement at the La Jolla Cove.
