Route information
The first stretch of the challenge will be on the bike, you will cycle through the beautiful countryside alongside Ullswater. This will be a scenic and enjoyable 14-mile route taking you through woodlands to the village of Glenridden.
Hop off the bike and change into your hiking gear to begin the ascent of Helvellyn. You will have to ascend 3,118.7ft in total so be ready to feel the burn. Make sure to enjoy the climb and take some photos as there will be plenty of great views throughout.
After summiting the peak, head back down to the kayaking section so you can rest your legs as you paddles around a 1.5-mile route around the lake.
Finally, you will hop straight back onto your bike to cycle 14-miles to the finish line. Bask in the glory as you sip your finisher's prosecco.

Accommodation isn't included in your challenge costs, for an extra £250 you get two nights of hotel accommodation in Penrith, and a two-course dinner on Friday night as well as breakfast on Saturday and Sunday morning. Registration Fee
Participants will pay a non-refundable registration fee of £79 which is used to secure their place at the event. Entrants will have to pay an extra £195 at least 6 weeks before the challenge.
Age Requirements
- All entrants must be 18 years old or over to take part in this challenge.
Fitness
The challenge is open to all fitness levels, but you must train beforehand. This challenge will be physically demanding, the more you train the more you will enjoy the challenge. No kayaking experience is needed for the challenge.
Bike Hire
Bikes are not included in the challenge, if you will like to arrange bike hire for you at an additional price, please email the organisers at events@dream-challenges.com.
Bike Transport
Your bike and cycling gear will be transported to the foot of the mountain. The organisers will then transport your walking gear back to the challenge base, participants will kayak in their cycling gear.
