The serious cyclists among you have the chance to push yourself while enjoying some excellent undulations, fast straights and ultimately a brilliant cycling experience.The route heads South and then East towards the Vale of Belvoir, the sportive route then turns North towards Newark before turning west and heading towards Car Colston and East Bridgford.The Sportive then splits from the 50 mile route and heads north towards Lowdham and Thurgaton. The route then enters an anti-clockwise loop that takes in Fiskerton, Caunton, Sutton-on-Trent, Wellow, Eakring and Edingley before returning through Thurgaton and back to the remainder of the 50 mile route.The route finishes by passing through Radcliffe-on-Trent and returning via Holme Pierrepont and the riverside path.Taking in some of the county’s stunning scenery, this is a must-do for any cycling enthusiast.Please note that this event is for people aged over 18 only.

The main event car park will be situated at Queen’s Drive Park and Ride, postcode NG2 1AP. This is approximately 1.5 miles from the start/finish area with easy access cycle paths leading you straight form your car to the event village. Just follow the signs. £2 per car will be charged to park in this car park.
Alternative car parking is available on the grass field next to the start line in the VIP car park, but you will need to pre-pay the £5 per car fee for this site and obtain an official pass. You can pay for the pass when you register for the event or alternatively you can call us on 01159 683327 and we will add it to your booking. There will be no option to pay on the day. Instructions on how to access this car park will be sent along with your VIP pass.
There are lots of services that travel near to the Victoria Embankment across Trent Bridge with stops situated close to the Festival. See the map for details of bus numbers and locations of nearby stops.
If you’re not sure which ticket is best for you then a £4 Kangaroo ticket will provide unlimited daily travel on all buses, trams and trains within the local area.
The new tram network is now in service with a convenient stop at the west end of the Victoria Embankment. You will need to cross the bridge and then follow the footpaths to get to the event village.
Event day logistics
The start venue is the Victoria Embankment in Nottingham which is easily accessible on your bike and has great local transport links. Visit the Transport Information page under The Event page for more detail.
Registration will open on the morning of the event from 6.00am. We recommend you arrive at least 30 minutes before your individual ride’s start time.
Feed stations will have a variety of items to purchase around each route. Various items are served at each location, but they will include tea, coffee, cakes and biscuits, water. At Car Colston, there will also be a BBQ in operation offering breakfast rolls for the earlier riders and burgers for those getting there in time for lunch.
