Take on this fully guided 33 mile run around the circular trail above the Vale of Llangollen. Great for those who want to experience an ultra marathon without all the hassle, the tough route treats runners to some spectacular scenery. Come for the 5,303ft of ascent or for the unforgettable views.

OutFit provide Fitness Services, Events & Challenges for all abilities. The goal is to get people moving outdoors, with all of the benefits that brings - and are experts in getting people to their goals, and beyond! We welcome experienced runners, but particularly enjoy seeing beginners get involved and achieve great things. Expect a friendly welcome and a great time with us on your event day.

Route description
Route description

The route follows the 33 mile circular trail above the Vale of Llangollen.

The route has 5,303ft of ascent and has a mixture scenery included lofty ridges, rolling hills and heather moorland.

A particular highlights include a world heritage landmark and a 17th century bridge over the River Dee.

The route is split into 5 sections of around 5.5- 7 miles in length. At the end of each section, there will be water and refreshments.

Logistics and schedule

The run will begin at 0700.

The guides will dictate the pace of the group but it will average around 3.7mph, a brisk walk for most.


Unfortunately spectators are not permitted at this event.

Vale of Llangollen Golf Club, Holyhead Road, Llangollen LL20 7PR, UK

It is located about an hour's drive south of Liverpool via the M53.

You can also reach the town by taking the Transport for Wales' service towards Chester, getting off at Ruabon and then taking the 5 bus to Llangollen (getting off at the War Memorial).
