The London Ditchling Devil

205km cycling event starting from Wimbledon Common. Controls at Highbrook, Upper Beeding and Chiddingfold, plus 2 information controls.London to Brighton and Back, with country lanes, stunning views and great controls run by local community groups who provide the refreshments included in the entry fee - bacon butties, pasta and home-made cakes...The London Ditchling Devil has become one of the highlights of the London Audax Calendar, with 400 riders taking ranging from hardbitten roadies to riders on their first 'century' (100mile) ride taking part. Organised refreshment stops every 50km make this a real social event especially for those new to longer distances. We start outside the Windmill Tearoom on Wimbledon Common and signoff in the Rose of York on Petersham Hill near the Richmond Gate of Richmond Park where riders can relax and wind-down after a day out cycling. This is a rare chance for Londoners to leave the car at home and ride up to an event. Nothing beats riding from home down to the coast and back... it's always a blast!
