Maverick runs always offer great trail routes and excellent aid stations but the scenery at this event was as stunning as the race was challenging! I wouldn’t normally drive 3 hours to (and from!) an event but for this one it was definitely worth it.

Fantastic scenery, but the aid stations could have done with being better spaced.

I enjoyed this race very much apart from the very steep downhill steps and the long climb up. The scenery was stunning and the route well marked. The hydration station after halfway was very welcome with plenty of snacks to choose from. The finish was brilliant with lots of welcome freebies and a medal. The wet face flannel to wipe our sweaty faces was a nice touch. All the Marshall's were helpful and friendly. I will definitely recommend this race to all my running mates and I plan to do it again next year. Congratulations on a fantastic well organised race.
