Terrain: Hard-packed trails Elevation: Undulating - Long: +401m, Middle: +314m, Short: +119m
All of the courses will take on the notable South Downs Way, which is full of famous climbs and descents. As you run you will take in famous sites such as the Ditchling Beacon - the third highest point of the National Park - and experience panoramic views which are truly breathtaking.
Underfoot you will run along woodland paths, chalk tracks, and farmland trails. This is a great event for those looking to get into trail running, although challenging, it will undoubtedly cultivate a love for the great British outdoors.

There will be free parking available at the venue. It is recommended by the event organiser to car share where possible, to allow enough car park spaces for everyone.
By Train
The closest railway station is Falmer, which is a quick 5 minute walk to the venue. There are regular services running from London Victoria to Falmer, taking around 1hr 20mins.

Race Packs
All race packs will be collected on the day from registration. Please arrive with enough time to ensure you can register and warm up before the race start.
Age Requirements
Please note that all under 16's must be accompanied by a participating adult.
Water & Nutrition stations
There will be 3 aid stations on the course with hydration and nutrition provided by Precision Hydration. Please note; there are no aid stations on the short route.
This will be a plastic-free event, so please be sure to bring your own reusable bottle or cup.
Plastic-Free Event
Maverick Race is making every effort to make this season 100% plastic-free. For this reason, there will be no plastic cups at this event, so runners should bring a reusable cup or bottle with them to refill at the stations located on the route.
Dog Entry
You are welcome to run with your dog at this event for a small fee of £3. We have very limited dog spaces which sell out quickly! If the option to add a dog does not show on the entry form this is because the event has sold out of dog spaces. For safety reasons, we only allow one dog per runner. Each dog receives a special dog medal.

No, nothing will be posted to you prior to the event. Your race number will be waiting for you to collect from the Registration area on the morning of the event.
I can no longer make the Maverick Adidas Terrex Original East Sussex, can I transfer my place to another event?
If for any reason you wish to transfer out from an event Maverick Race are happy to do this, but once only. However, they cannot action any transfers for an event that has sold out. The last day to transfer out of an event is the Monday before event day (5 days before the event), please email Maverick on info@maverick-race.com with the name of the event you would like to move to. Maverick are not able to move you out of an event if you contact them after this day. You may transfer to any event listed on the Maverick website or even change to a higher value event and pay the difference.
I’m aged 16 or below, can I run on my own at the Maverick Adidas Terrex Original East Sussex?
All runners aged 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult throughout the event.
