Here at Maverick Race we’re all about celebrating the beauty of the British countryside. That’s why we’ve chosen some of the most iconic areas that Blighty has to offer for our trail running series. We’re not elitist though which is why we’ve made them accessible to runners of all levels. With multiple route lengths to choose from in every location, you decide on the challenge! Our main objective is to get people off the roads and enjoying being outside in the countryside. We just love to run and we hope you will too after experiencing life on the trails. Having experienced many types of events, from 5km club runs through to Ultra Marathons and Ironman Triathlons, we're dedicated to understanding what’s important to you – the runners.

I loved this race. The course was beautiful (helped by the amazing weather) and it was just the right distance for me. I didn't even notice the km's go by as I was just enjoying the landscape and negotiating the varying terrain. The organisers were brilliant, and the goodies at the end went down a storm, especially the beer.… read more

Route description
Route description

As one of Maverick Race's final events of the year, this is not one to be missed.

The course begins at the Manor House of Stonor Park, which dates back to the 12th century. This quintessential English estate houses one of the country's oldest deer herds - keep your eyes peeled to catch a glimpse of the native residents.

After winding through the Estate's grounds, the course breaks into the neighbouring Chiltern Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It won't just be the striking surroundings that take your breath-away, but the savage gradients that this route presents.

Only a stones through away from London, this is a fantastic opportunity to escape the city and experience how great the British outdoors truly is.

Stunning race - got lost and went on the long rather than the middle but that just made it more enjoyable. Loved all the canicross runners and just such a great vibe to the day

Absolutely love Maverick Races and this one didn't disappoint. Easy (free) parking, quick registration and a beautiful location. The route was stunning and challenging but it was lovely to just amble along with my friend and her dog, having a natter and enjoying the scenery. Will definitely be doing again next year.
