Ultra Distance: 52k Terrain: Trail Elevation Gain: 2858m
Long Distance: 44k Terrain: Trail Elevation Gain: 2367m
Middle Distance: 25k Terrain: Trail Elevation Gain: 1131m
Short Distance: 14k Terrain: Trail Elevation Gain: 617m
The route starts in Grasmere and takes you on a rugged climb towards the impressive Stickle tarn, which is set in a wide bowl and overlooked by Pavey Ark and Harrison Stickle, these peaks once formed part of the rim of a wide volcano.
Continuing on your epic trail run you head back down the Cumbria way towards Greater Langdale where you follow the river and make your way towards Loughrigg Tarn. These trails are so incredibly stunning you will loose yourself in the ancient woodlands.

There will be free parking available at the venue. It is recommended by the event organiser to car share where possible, to allow enough car park spaces for everyone.
By Train
Windermere is the closest train station to the start location, at a 20 minute drive away. Those travelling from London can ride the Southern railway from London Euston to Windermere, taking approximately 3 hours and 20 minutes.

08:00 Ultra and Long races start
09:00 Short and Middle races start
*Please arrive with plenty of time to park, register, attach your race number and warm up.
Age Requirements
Participants must be aged 16 and over.
Kit
These items are mandatory for ALL distances
- Trail shoes
- Waterproof jacket
- Mobile phone (in case of emergency)
- Enough food and drink (at least 1 litre) to last you the race - there will be outpost on course to top up
- Foil blanket
- Head torch and spare batteries (Ultra & long route only)
- A re-usable cup (the organisers like to ensure their are races plastic free!

- OP1: Stickle Barn (10.5k), 11:20
- OP2: Neaum Crag Lodges (19.5k), 12:30
- OP3: Rydal Hall (27k), 13:50
- OP4: Kirkstone Pass (37k), 15:30
- Finish: Grasmere Showground (52k), 19:00
Water & Nutrition Stations
Please note there will be NO outpost on the Short route.
Plastic-Free Event
Maverick Race is making every effort to make this season 100% plastic-free. For this reason, there will be no plastic cups at this event, so runners should bring a reusable cup or bottle with them to refill at the stations located on the route.
