Route information
The Monsal Trail route will start and end at Bakewell station. Runners will speed out along the scenic trail until they reach Miller's Dale. Once they reach here athletes will turn and head back toward Bakewell.
Throughout the run, athletes will make their way through 3 railway tunnels and run along a mixture of hard track and tarmac. Runners will also behold the stunning Monsal Viaduct - a real highlight of the trail.
The course will be continually supervised throughout, with a sweep runner at the end ensuring that no runners are unaccounted for.

There is no car parking available at Bakewell Station, with the exception of disabled motorists. There is extensive parking within the town centre at two large Pay & Display car parks, around 500 metres from the station.
Event day logistics

*Please arrive at least 45 minutes before the race begins, to allow plenty of time to register, attach your race number and warm up.
Age Restrictions
You must be at least 17 and older to enter the Half Marathon, and 15 and over to enter the 10k.
Race Packs
Entrants who have entered in good time will have their race packs sent in the post 10 days before event day.
Those who have entered in the 10 days before race day will collect their race pack at registration on the day of the event.
If your race pack hasn't arrived, head to the registration desk at race HQ and you can be issued with a new one.
A full set of race instructions will be sent via email before the event.
Bag Drop
There will be a bag drop facility available at this event. Participants may leave their bags and belongings in a designated area while they complete the race. It is recommended by the event organiser to not leave any valuables in your bags and to also travel as light as possible.
Toilets
There will be toilets available at the start location.

Spectators are strongly encouraged to come along and support the athletes, and the looped nature of this event makes it a great race to spectate.
Additionally, there are fantastic spectator facilities, including a cafe about a mile along the trail at Hassop Station.

Is there an age limit for the Monsal Trail Half Marathon Saturday?
All half marathon runners must be at least 17 on the day of the event. All 10k runners must be at least 15 on the day of the event.
