Route information
If you weren't able to gain entry to the London Marathon on this day, The 'Other' Run' is the perfect substitute. The 6 hour timed challenge is a great chance to put all that training into practice and run alongside like-minded people at this fun and friendly event.
Competitors will complete laps of a 5.3k lap throughout Brandon Country Park. The course itself will be flat over mixed terrain, with a combination of gravel footpaths and grass sections. You will have 6 hours to complete as many laps as you can, and if you're lucky maybe a little bit more because if you leave the base camp before 5:59:59, you can complete one more lap!
But don't be alarmed by this long time limit, this event is for runners of all abilities, and runners can end their race at any point. This could be a great opportunity to run your first 5k, 10k, Half Marathon, Marathon or even Ultra Marathon. You can run as few or as many laps as you wish, resting between laps or pushing yourself through the whole 6 hours.
For those more experienced athletes looking to really push themselves, this is a brilliant opportunity to run a long distance with no other complications, no navigation, no kit required and with feed stations every lap.
Whether you are looking to run your 1st 10k, or your 50th Marathon, the brilliant Zig Zag Running team will cheer you all the way around.

So well organised, really very impressed. Have done dozens of marathon and this was one of the best organised ones I have been at. The vegan cake at the end was amazing!

I had a great time today. Met lots of other runners, everyone friendly. Some regulars which makes me want to do another just to see them again. The course was great but I didn’t realise it would quite that hilly. Very uneven underfoot but that’s fine. People there said it is one of the more challenging marathons around locally which made me feel better about my time. All in all a fantastic day!!

The organisers were brilliant - very friendly and encouraging. The course was easy to follow. You needed to take care of tree roots but it was a forest track so that is to be expected. It was dry underfoot despite recent rain. There was proper coffee and cake at the end!

I enjoyed it, but unfortunately had to drop out after 15km from the intended marathon due to a knee problem. It's a trail course, so bumpy, but everything else about the event was brilliant.

Not a fan of lapped marathons, but the route is lovely so it removed a bit of the monotony away. Excellent organisers, and such a great effort in everything they did. One small gripe. PROVIDE FULL FAT COKE/PEPSI!!! No sugar stuff is wasted.
