Route information
The Monsal trail is the 3rd and final instalment of Nice Work's three-part Peak District Series. Those who have competed in all three events will have run 26.2 miles and have gained the opportunity to receive a Commemorative Peak District Marathon Weekend Medal.
All three events will feature a Peak District Chip Timed Mile event, which is open to juniors and adults alike.
The other races fall on Friday 29th and Saturday 30th:

The Monsal route will start and end at Bakewell station, heading out along the Monsal Trail before looping back around after five miles.

Throughout the run, athletes will make their way through 3 railway tunnels and run along a mixture of hard track and tarmac. Runners will also behold the stunning Monsal Viaduct - a real highlight of the trail.

Car: There is no car parking available at Bakewell Station, with the exception of disabled motorists. There is extensive parking within the town centre at two large Pay & Display car parks, around 500 metres from the station.

1000: 10 Mile race begins
Please arrive at least 30 minutes before the race begins, to allow plenty of time for any travel issues and the completion of the registration process.

Spectators are strongly encouraged to come along and support the athletes, and the looped nature of this event makes it a great one to spectate.
Additionally, there are fantastic spectator facilities - cafe included - about a mile along the trail at Hassop Station.
FAQs
Where can I access my results?
Results will be published on www.nice-work.org.uk follow the race conclusion. There will be an on-site prize-giving around 60 minutes after the first runner has finished.
Do I have to enter all three races to compete?
No, each race can be entered individually. However, to obtain a Peak District Marathon Weekend Medal, you must enter and complete all three events within the series.
Is there an age limit?
The minimum age for this event is 16 years old on 31/05/2020. However, juniors may compete in the Peak District Mile.
